DCS Members achieve APC success with MRICS and FRICS status

RICS APC Assessment

The world renowned RICS APC process is the final stage of what can sometimes be a ‘grilling pupillage’ amidst the commencement of ‘independence’ for any aspiring Chartered Surveyor. Session Two [November 2018] has been yet another sterling success for RICS with a number of DCS members achieving the ‘privilege’ of using the famous five letters ‘MRICS’ to show their level of professionalism and competence.

As Chair of DCS and an RICS APC Assessor myself, I am taking this opportunity to promote the successful candidates who have worked tirelessly and gained direct support from the efforts of others within the DCS network, specifically led by two DCS Board Members, Vice Chair - Justin Carty MRICS, Senior Director CBRE and Head of CPD and LLL - Karen Ching MRICS, Assistant Director, Deloitte Real Estate. Suffice to say the following list is yet another quantifiable measure of the ‘silent and unseen’ commitment extended by DCS members towards each other, in pursuit of the emerging contingent of BAME talent and excellence across the global Surveying profession.

New MRICS members:

Mr Kazeem Afolabi – Property Finance & Investment; Goldman Sachs International

Mr Kazeem Abgoola – Commercial Property, GVA

Ms Faith Locken – Commercial Property, Jones Lang Lasalle [JLL]

Ms Hanna Osundina – Planning & Development, Balfour Beatty Investments Limited

New FRICS member:

Mr Khalil Rahman – Planning & Development, Eco Housing & Development Services Ltd

The full list of successful, newly qualified surveyors – across the world and covering all Pathways – is available on the RICS website click here

It is also worth noting that Ms Locken was also successful in achieving 30th (out of 100) in Powerful Media's Future Leaders List 2018, earlier this year. You go Faith, as usual raising the bar for us all to achieve more! You can read more about the Future Leaders programme here

We are looking forward to positively assisting current and future DCS members with their RICS APC aspirations during Session One and all other annual CPD obligations throughout 2019.

Note: to all DCS members - please do not forget to upload all CPD activities by midnight on 31 December 2018.......!
