DCS are proud to support the AFBE during Black History Month 2018

So what exactly will the landscape of opportunity 'look like' beyond the transitional date of 31 March 2019?

Will the presence and contribution of BAME professionals, fare better or worse? Could BREXIT be an opportunity to achieve 'greater' #DiversityintheUK ??

DiverseCity Surveyors have been approached by the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers [AFBE] Founder and Chair, Dr Nike Folayan. We are both welcoming and supportive of the commendable efforts of the AFBE and have pledged to 'positively promote and strategically assist' with their flagship annual event in October 2018.

The event will be hosted by TV Presenter and Author June Sarpong MBE. Those in attendance will observe the learned and informed views of several sector leading experts including Dr Hayaatun Sillem, CEO, Royal Academy of Engineering, Alasdair Reisner, CEO of Civil Engineering Contractors Association, Yewande Akinola, Design Engineer/ TV Presenter and Penny Evans, Associate Director, Penningtons Manches.

The topic of this growing debate will consider the relevance of and table a number of solution(s) tasked with addressing the looming 'UK skills crisis'. Such a debate will vigorously assess the need [or not] for greater #Diversity&Inclusion across the UK Engineering and Construction sectors.
